Why is the meat so pink?
We take great pride in bringing you authentic southern barbeque.
The pink color you see in our meat is called the "smoke ring". 
All of our meats are fully cooked, yet the southern smoking process 
leaves a pink ring near the outer layer. This is just an indication of true 
slow smoked barbeque. We take careful measures to ensure that your meat
 is at it's fullest juicy potential ever time you visit Big Dog's Smokehouse.
We use only the finest cuts of meat seasoned to perfection. 
The ideal blend of Hickory and Cherry wood compliment 
our 15 hour smoking process. We cook it low and smoke it slow.
